Changing the material

STAUFF Thermo Switches of the Type TS provide temperature monitoring in conjunction with STAUFF SNA, SNK and SNKK Level Gauges, which are used for visual and visual/ electrical fluid level indication in hydraulic reservoirs.

The main advantage of the Thermo Switch is obvious: It replaces the lower banjo bolt of the level gauge, thanks to its ease of fitting. The Thermo Switch is activated when the fluid temperature reaches the respective switching temperature. STAUFF offers switching temperatures of either +60 °C / +140 °F, +70 °C / +158 °F, +80 °C / +176 °F or +90 °C / +194 °F.

The electric functionality of the Thermo Switch is available either as normally closed (n/c) or normally open (n/o) with standard C / O connection or CD / OD M12 connection, which can be rotated by 360° to its final direction.

In February 2019, STAUFF will be changing the material of the TS Thermo Switch to benefit the environment.

The current galvanised steel Thermo Switch (11SMnpB30) will be changed to corrosion-resistant, non-rusting austenitic stainless steel (1.4305). Among other things, it will then comply with the requirements of the RoHS guidelines in terms of the omission of lead. Deliveries to customers in regions currently limited by “Proposition 65” can then be guaranteed.

All versions of the TS Thermo Switch will be affected by the changeover. 

Level Gauges supplied with separate Thermo Switches will also be affected by this.

From February 2019, all versions will be available ex-stock from STAUFF Germany and will replace the previous versions. The existing article numbers remain unchanged.

We have taken organisational measures to prevent mixed deliveries of both versions as much as possible.

The changeover will not result in any changes regarding dimensions, handling, mounting and use of the components.
